“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.” (Romans 12:9, ESV)
Do you ever question rather or not you are a true Christian?
Was your coming to Jesus Christ only an emotional experience?
Throughout my life, I have questioned my faith. I often wondered if I was really saved.
Today, I know that I know that I know…… I am a true follower of Jesus Christ.
Of course, my walk is not perfect. I am human.
With that being said, I know the unending grace, mercy, peace, and love of my Savior…. washes over me daily.
Praise God for this!
Are you questioning your salvation today?
If so, I want you to read the following Scripture. See for yourself if you have the marks of a true Christian?
“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.’ To the contrary, ‘if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:9-21)
If you know you are a Christian, but these marks do not characterize your life, I pray for you. I beg you to read God’s Word. Seek Him now so He can help you in your walk. Ask Him for guidance.
If you are not a Christian, but you want these marks on your life from Romans 12:9-21, ask Jesus Christ into your heart right now. He is waiting for you.
Do you think you’re not good enough for God to love you? To save you?
There is nothing you could have done, or, are doing right now… that will keep you from Him if you just ask. He loves you.
God bless ya’ll! Love you all! 🙂
